AMT-TF500 total iron online analyzer adopts phenanthroline spectrophotometry. Under the condition of coexistence of acid and oxidant, all forms of iron in the sample are converted to trivalent iron; Reducing agent reduces trivalent iron to ferrous ion; Ferrous ion reacted with phenanthroline to produce orange-yellow complex. Its absorbance was measured at 510nm wavelength and converted to the corresponding concentration value.

Through a number of independent patents and proprietary technologies, the sensitivity and precision of Class I instruments have been greatly improved, so that Class I instruments can be effectively applied to the measurement of iron in surface water or drinking water source environment.

The infection of most ions (including calcium/magnesium) is controlled at ±2%, so it can be effectively applied to the measurement of manganese in high saline soil and even in seawater environment.

The influence of water sample turbidity or blackness or color on measurement is effectively solved.
